The Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System™ encourages global adaptation of sustainable green building and development practices that increase energy efficiency through the conservation of resources and recycling materials.


It is a third-party certification program and an internationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction and operation of high performance green buildings. It provides building owners and operators the tools they need to have an immediate and measurable impact on their buildings’ performance.


Products themselves are not certified, but rather their attributes with regard to conservation and sustainability contribute to the overall whole-building approach to sustainability.


Euroshield® roofing products can contribute in the following ways:

  • Materials Selection – Possible project point applications using Euroshield® Roofing Products
  • Up to 2 points for Recycled content (Credit 4.1 and 4.2)
  • Up to 2 Points for Resource Reuse (Credit 3.1 and 3.2)
  • Up to 2 Points for Regionally Sourced Materials (Credit 5.1 and Credit 5.2)- if project location is within 500 miles of manufacturing facility (Calgary, Alberta) and the point of extraction, harvest or recovery.
  • Up to 2 Points for Construction Waste Management (Credit 2.1 and Credit 2.2) – Diversion from landfill of waste construction materials.
